FAQ
How to Play
Goalman is a penalty shootout with a twist: you are planning the shot and the save before the drama unfolds.
When it is your turn to shoot, tap the ball at the bottom of the screen to freeze the moving target and pick your spot.
When it is your turn in goal, drag your Goalman around the goalmouth, then fine-tune their hands and feet by dragging them or tapping nearby.
After both players have chosen 3 shots and 3 Goalman positions, the shootout plays out automatically, with each shot tested against the other player's save.
Read the shooter, outsmart the Goalman, and save more shots than your opponent to win.
How Do I Play Against My Friends?
Bringing friends into a shootout only takes a moment.
1. Choose "Invite Friend" from the main menu, set up a challenge, then share the link you receive at the end.
Send that link to one friend or a whole group. Anyone who joins from it will be connected with you as an in-game friend.
2. If you know a friend's player name, use the search icon above the leaderboards to find them, then press "Invite".
3. Already connected? Tap their name in the "My Friends" leaderboard, hit Play, and settle it from the penalty spot.
Can I Customise My Goalman?
Absolutely. Your Goalman does not have to look like anyone else's.
Open the kit bag next to your player on the main menu to change their look, tweak the details, and build a Goalman with a bit of personality.
Feeling lucky? Press Random and let the game throw together a fresh style for you.
You can also update your player name and choose the country you want to represent from the same screen.
About Goalman
Goalman is a free online penalty shootout with a tactical twist. It's played one turn at a time: you take your three shots, then set where your Goalman dives to stop your opponent's. Quick enough to sneak into any spare minute, it's the wait to see how each match unfolds that keeps you coming back.
Half the fun is your character. Pick from a range of wacky faces, football kits and haircuts to make it your own, then take it into matches against friends or climb the country leaderboards.
Goalman first appeared on iOS in the early 2010s, made in the excitement around UEFA Euro 2012. The 2026 World Cup felt like the right moment to bring it back, now with global leaderboards, country rankings and shareable challenge links. It's made by FLICK, a small UK studio best known for Art of Solitaire.
